WHERE THE FOOTPRINTS END, VOL: I - FOLKLORE coming late April! Trailer & Chapter List
Well, here I am—delivering some of the best personal news of the last year during one of the worst periods we've seen globally in the past 50 years. But life and the paranormal go on, I suppose. At any rate, Timothy Renner and I are very pleased to announce that the first of our two book series, Where the Footprints End, will be coming out in late April (perhaps early May). In either case, it's just around the corner! Where the Footprints End: High Strangeness and the Bigfoot Phenomenon - Vol. I: Folklore focuses, as the name suggests, on under-explored intersections between the sasquatch and other, seemingly unrelated folklore traditions.
I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that this book is also lovingly illustrated by Timothy, with some of his best work yet. And—revealed here for the first time—a chapter list. (If you don't see one of your pet topics below, fear not. If it's not covered in some capacity in Volume I, it's definitely addressed in Volume II, which focuses on anomalous evidence and bigfoot).

Here's the official trailer!
While we're at it, here's the entire, humbling blurb featured in the trailer:
"Impressively, even exhaustively researched, Where the Footprints End should give all students of the anomalous serious pause for thought. By documenting both the high strangeness that surrounds Bigfoot sightings, and the deep folklore in which they are embedded, Cutchin and Renner so far broaden the context of Bigfoot encounters that it is no longer possible to credit any single theory or literalistic interpretation concerning their nature. Indeed, we begin to suspect that the reality of Bigfoot is less a problem to be solved than a mystery to dissolve our view of reality itself. Here at last is the book that dear old Bigfoot deserves."
- Patrick Harpur, author of Daimonic Reality
UPDATE: And this, from Greg Newkirk:
"This book poses a danger to the foundations of cryptozoology. While mainstream Bigfoot investigators would have you believe that people are around the world are merely encountering a lost ape, Cutchin and Renner dig into the details they've swept under the rug, excavating countless Bigfoot reports involving glowing orbs, telepathic communication, and paranormal phenomena that have more in common with tales of ancient gods and alien abductions than they do with primatology. Meticulously researched and backed up with a treasure trove of footnotes, Where the Footprints End is poised to do for Bigfoot what Passport to Magonia did for UFOs."
- Greg Newkirk, director of The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & the Occult
and executive producer and star of Hellier
Finally... some words of encouragement for you today. You've likely heard it and forgotten it, but here it is nonetheless:
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
