Online presentation October 28 through East West Bookshop!

UPDATED: Here's a short, fun video promo for the event!

Pleased to remind everyone that October is full of fun Forteana from yours truly. Not only will I be attending the 2021 Strange Realities Conference (10/15-10/17 - tickets for in-person and online still available), but you can watch another presentation of mine from the comfort of your home on October 28! Through the generosity of East West Bookshop, I'll be presenting The Buzz & the Beast: Altered States of Consciousness in Bigfoot Encounters online from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. PST. Here's a quick synopsis:

Many claim there is evidence of large, hairy, apelike creatures lurking in the wilderness. Yet the sightings are inconsistent and appear mired in strangeness and nonsensical absurdities so often encountered in paranormal phenomena. Drawing upon recent trends in paranormal research focusing on altered states of consciousness, Joshua Cutchin illustrates how the phenomena may not only straddle the division between man and beast, but reality and unreality itself.

Joshua Cutchin has appeared on various paranormal radio, television, and podcast episodes discussing his work, including Coast to Coast AM, Ancient Aliens, and Mysterious Universe. He has authored five books, most recently Where the Footprints End: High Strangeness and the Bigfoot Phenomenon, Volumes I & II, with Timothy Renner.

Tickets are available here. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Can small, almost mundane details in accounts of anomalous events—be it encounters with UFO entities, faeries, or Sasquatch—reveal anything valuable about the nature of these unusual events?
