Upcoming event: TEDxNashville

Here's a good way to spend your Halloween week! On Wednesday, October 28, I’ll be speaking at TEDxNashville’s The Science of Woo: Ghosts, an evening devoted to unpacking the implications of paranormal experiences. My talk, “Why You Should Consider Becoming a Ghost Hunter,” draws upon not only my own field experience but also the larger questions that have preoccupied me over my career. Whatever your position on the paranormal, there’s still something worthwhile about investigating experiences that the rest of the world deems 'impossible.'

I’m excited to be part of this event, which brings together researchers and storytellers to explore hauntings from various perspectives. If you’re in the Nashville area, I hope you’ll consider joining us. For more details about the event and tickets, head on over to TEDxNashville’s event page.

Thanks for reaching out to me! You should hear something from me soon, provided I'm not out-of-town, bleeding, or on fire.

A Trojan Feast

Can small, almost mundane details in accounts of anomalous events—be it encounters with UFO entities, faeries, or Sasquatch—reveal anything valuable about the nature of these unusual events?
